Ultimately she arrives at the gas station where she and her friends had been before. Once more, Sally gets chased by Leatherface throught the woods. Sally jumps out of an upstairs window, falls to the ground and begins running through the woods again. She panics and runs downstairs to try and get out, but Leatherface comes in through the door starting chasing her upstairs. She runs upstairs and finds two dried-up corpses sitting in chairs. Due to her small stature and Leatherface's large body she is able to slip through the dense woods with ease while Leatherface has to pause to cut through limbs.Īfter coming out of the woods Sally discovers a house and she goes inside hoping to get help (unknowlingy for her, she ran into the killer's home). She runs into the woods with Leatherface chasing her. Before she could react, Leatherface appears and kills Franklin with his chainsaw while Sally watches in shocked horror. Still looking for Jerry, Franklin hears something and tells Sally to stop. After fighting over a flashlight Sally shoved Franklin through the hilly woods while they scream for Jerry. Darkness falls and Jerry hadn’t returned so Sally and Franklin decide to look for him. It gets late and Jerry decides to look for them while Sally and Franklin stay behind at the van. Pam and Kirk went missing after they left for a local swimming hole. Nubbins acts very strange and suddenly slashes both himself and Franklin with a straight razor before the group forces him out of the van. Afterwards, they decide to visit the old Hardesty family homestead.Īlong the way they pick up a hitchhiker named Nubbins Sawyer. She and Franklin travels with Kirk and Pam, along with her boyfriend Jerry, to Texas to visit the grave of their late grandfather and to investigate reports of vandalism and grave robbing. As it turns out, however, there are moments where Alice Krige’s character and Leatherface’s deceased guardian, Mrs. These images occur during the bus massacre, and fans focusing on the blood and carnage might’ve missed these shots as well. Interestingly, however, there are quite a few other types of creepy somewhat subliminal images in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In the next shot, where Leatherface is missing from his chair, fans can get a clear look at where he was seated.
This seems to be our first indication that Leatherface has changed since the first installment, albeit not too much. It’s a different kind of introduction from the original film, where Leatherface is first introduced quite theatrically before killing Kirk with a hammer.

One of these includes the introduction of Leatherface, which is a rather creepy moment some fans could easily miss in the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel.Īs pointed out via Bloody-Disgusting, Leatherface is first introduced in the foreground of a shot where Dante tries to remove a confederate flag. In fact, Netflix’s newest entry in the franchise – titled simply Texas Chainsaw Massacre – actually has quite a few of these moments. While Tobe Hooper’s classic horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and perhaps more notably its many follow-ups, have an emphasis on more explicit scares, that doesn’t mean the franchise isn’t capable of providing more subtle, creepier moments.
